Unless you go on an RV because first, you must make good planning to prevent setbacks and accidents. However, you will find that many of these checks are quite simple and you will be on the road before you can say journey.

Check your RV from top to bottom: It’s very important that you check every detail of your RV’s performance, to make sure everything is in order. Be as thorough as necessary, make a checklist of every item you need to check and keep it close all the time to recheck it from time to time. There are things that will only take you a couple of seconds to inspect.

Reservation: Confirm the reservation in the campground with time, take into account that many of these receive confirmations 24 hours before. Also, make a list of other camps that are nearby in case of any inconvenience with your reservation.

Be aware of weather conditions: When it comes to weather, there is little we can do about it, we can only take the necessary measures to adapt, whether rain, snow or a heat wave, this will affect your trip and you must be prepared. Check the weather reports and media to know what to expect.

Follow the rules: When it comes to RV travel, there are a number of regulations and actions you must follow to be in compliance with the law. In each state, they are different and have different regulations regarding the weight, size, and capacity of your RV as well as the safety equipment they must have, and the type of driver’s license you must have. Be sure to do some research before going on an adventure.

Rely on technology: There are many apps, pages and technology that can help you improve the safety of your trip, from a GPS that helps you always be located, applications that will help you know the security mechanisms, hospitals and emergency numbers of the city where you are staying or save your personal information in case of a mishap. Road conditions and closures: find out about the conditions on the road, if there are any closed roads, under maintenance or blocked for any reason and you will save time and headaches, you can check these conditions on the page of the Federal Highway Administration.

Make sure you carry a complete set of tools: as in any other vehicle, you must carry the necessary assistance equipment on the track, with at least one safety triangle, small compressor, flashlight, lightsticks, jumper cables, a tire repair kit, among others. All these you can find in the Auto Roadside Emergency Essentials Kit.
